1. Overview

PeakSense is a desktop application that runs entirely on the user's own computer. PeakSense does not operate a central server, and does not collect, store, or transmit user data to any third party.

2. Data From Connected Accounts

When you connect a third-party account (such as YouTube or TikTok) to PeakSense, the application stores an authorization token locally on your own computer, used only to act on your behalf when you choose to download or publish content. This token is never transmitted to any server other than the connected platform's own official servers.

For TikTok specifically, PeakSense requests only your basic public profile information (display name and account ID) to confirm which account is connected, and permission to publish video content on your behalf when you explicitly choose to post a clip. This information is stored locally and is never shared with any third party.

3. Video Content

Videos you download and clips you generate using PeakSense are stored locally on your own computer. They are never uploaded anywhere except to a platform you explicitly choose to publish to.

4. Revoking Access

You may revoke PeakSense's access to any connected account at any time from that platform's own account settings (for example, TikTok's "Manage third-party apps" settings), or by disconnecting the account within PeakSense itself, which deletes the locally stored token.
